FAQs

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

Nothing. People who are familiar with climbing will normally bring their shoes, chalk and a chalk bag. If you don’t have any of these you can rent or buy them at reception. Because you are protected by our cushioned safety mats, you don’t need to worry about ropes or harnesses.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement is recommended. Long hair should also be tied back. For your safety, rings and loose jewellery need to be removed before you climb. We have a cubbyhole area for storing bags, shoes and other personal items.

Closed-toe footwear is essential and we have climbing shoes available for hire (see our membership & pricing page for equipment hire information).

HOW EXPERIENCED DO I NEED TO BE?

We cater for all abilities, from people who have never tried climbing before, right through to experienced climbers.

IS IT SAFE FOR KIDS TO CLIMB?

Kids tend to be natural climbers!

To help keep them safe, we only allow children over 5 years-old to climb and anyone under 13 years needs to climb under the direct supervision of an adult.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

We’re located on Moray Place and there are 60-minute and 4-hour parks nearby.
Wilson Parking Building on Moray Place is across the road and it’s open 24 hours.
