Update: 23rd January 2022 – we are currently in the Red setting
Resistance Climbing is able to remain open under all settings of the Government’s Covid-19 protection framework, known as the Traffic Light System. Here is what you need to know.
On arrival anyone over the age of 12 years and 3 months must present a verifiable vaccine pass or exemption certificate and scan in using the Covid tracer app (or our sign-in sheet).
If you are registered at Resistance Climbing, you’ll only have to show your pass once.
Vaccine passes are easy to obtain once you have had two Covid vaccine doses. Just follow the instructions here: Get a My Vaccine Pass.
Visitors are encouraged to wear face-masks and there are no restrictions on climbing numbers.
Our capacity is capped at 100 with 1m social distancing. Visitors are encouraged to wear face-masks while climbing and they are mandatory at other times in our facility.
At all levels the Resistance team will continue to operate with increased hygiene and cleaning protocols. We encourage all visitors to the facility to wash or sanitise their hands on entry.
We fully understand that the decision to require vaccine passes will negatively impact some climbers, but without following these requirements Resistance would not be able to open under Orange and Red settings. We are waiting for detailed guidelines from the government before making a decision about how we will operate under the Green setting.
We will review our policies and procedures when new information is provided. We will use signage at the gym, social media and our website to inform our climbers what is required at any given time.
